Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Each half term we focus on a particular one of our Core Christian Values and celebrate children using these values in our celebration assembly on a Friday.
Our Core Christian Values are:
Compassion – Christians believe that their attitudes and actions must reflect the kindness, mercy and compassion of Jesus and the love of God for everyone.
Courage- Basic to Christian faith is the belief that God is present in every situation. The reassurance in this enables us to overcome difficulties and try new challenges, encouraging us to persevere.
Forgiveness – Forgiveness is the means through which damaged relationships can be restored. For Christians, Jesus’ death on a cross is the ultimate revelation of God’s all forgiving love and is an inspiration to forgive others, no matter what the cost.
Thankfulness – Christians believe that God loves and cares for them in many different ways in all aspects of their life. They know that their response to this provision should be one of thankfulness and praise.
