We are proud to serve our village and the wider community. We are a welcoming, happy school where everyone is helpful, compassionate and respectful of each other. The children at Mistley Norman are delightful and enjoy their learning. We have a dedicated team of teachers, learning support assistants and other support staff who strive to ensure that every child here is successful, confident, responsible and achieves well.
We are a good church school – see our inspection report. We are proud to be a member of the https://www.vineschoolstrust.co.uk/ who foster a philosophy of an outward facing excellent education, where the development of a resilient Christian character is key.
Our website provides you with lots of information. Please navigate it using the drop down menus at the top of the page and the buttons above this welcome message. The key information drop down menu has a link to the Information Hub section of our website. This section of our website has a range of useful elements including those relating to Ofsted, church school inspections (SIAMS), safeguarding and school policies.
We have our own YouTube channel. Our YouTube channel has lots of information for parents, carers and children. We have designed it to be especially useful during national lockdowns. The Mistley Norman Church of England Primary School and Nursery YouTube channel can be found HERE.
We value the support of parents and carers and work in partnership with them. We are pleased with the very positive feedback parents and carers gave us in our most recent parent and carer survey. We have taken note of the ‘Even Better If’ comments and have acted on some of them. For example, we have now have Mr Holton as our SENDCO and he is on site every day, we have provided more SEND related training for staff and we have introduced more clubs such as American Football. You are welcome to view the responses to our parent and carers survey. Please note that some responses cannot be seen because they need to be kept confidential.
