The Government is providing additional funding to improve provision of physical education and sport in primary schools.

At Mistley Norman Church of England Primary School and Nursery we deliver swimming lessons as part of our curriculum. We found that 70% of our year 6 children are meeting the National Curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25m, using a range of strokes and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
