Mistley Norman Church of England Primary School is a friendly village school in Mistley, near Manningtree.

Mistley is set on the Stour Estuary and our children enjoy being able to take advantage of our picturesque surroundings. Mistley Norman is proud to be a church school and we work very closely with our local church. We are an Academy and are part of the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust.

This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

Our Vision – ‘Together in Excellence’

At Mistley Norman Church of England Primary School and Nursery, we are committed to providing Quality First Teaching and a rich and stimulating environment as a basic entitlement for all learners.  As a school, we recognise the needs of all learners and aim to teach them how to build on their strengths and minimise their weaknesses, by overcoming barriers to their learning so that they are empowered to be the very best that they can be.  We foster good relationships with our children and their families so that together we are demonstrating excellence in all that we do.

At Mistley Norman Church of England Primary School and Nursery, we have a committed and dedicated professional staff who understand that it is the duty of all of us working in our school to make a real difference to improve our children’s learning each day, every day.  We have high expectations and big ambitions for the school and its future success.

Everyone has a responsibility to be positive about the school; promote and continue to build the school’s reputation.  We are a school on an exciting journey of continuous improvement towards excellence.

The children are always at the centre of all that we do.  When all the staff work together as a mutually supportive team, the school will function successfully and we will achieve our aim of excellence.  We are committed to providing an excellent education for all that inspires, challenges and instils a love of learning.

Together we will:

Show compassion to everyone

Show courage in all that we do

Show forgiveness to each other

Show thankfulness for all that we have

We value everyone’s contribution to the life of the school.

All staff, pupils, parents and governors are expected to share and uphold this vision.
